Musnad Ahmad 447:7
Hadith of Wathila ibn al-Asqa (RA) "also repeated in the Meccan and Medinan [collections], except for some hadiths which I have established here, while the rest are in the Meccan and Medinan [collections]."
حديث واثلة بن الأسقع " معاد أيضا في المكيين والمدنيين (1) إلا أحاديث منها قد أثبتها هاهنا، وباقيها في المكيين والمدنيين "
Hadith 447:7
Abu Sa’id, the freed slave of Banu Hashim, narrated to us, ‘Imran Abu al-‘Awwam narrated to us, from Qatadah, from Abu al-Malih, from Wathilah ibn al-Asqa’, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "The scriptures of Ibrahim (peace be upon him) were revealed on the first night of Ramadan. The Torah was revealed on the sixth night of Ramadan. The Gospel was revealed on the thirteenth night of Ramadan. And the Furqan (the Qur’an) was revealed on the twenty-fourth night of Ramadan."
حدثنا أبو سعيد، مولى بني هاشم، حدثنا عمران أبو العوام، عن قتادة، عن أبي المليح، عن واثلة بن الأسقع، أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: " أنزلت صحف إبراهيم عليه السلام في أول ليلة من رمضان، وأنزلت التوراة لست مضين من رمضان، والإنجيل لثلاث عشرة خلت من رمضان، وأنزل الفرقان لأربع وعشرين خلت من رمضان "
