Musnad Ahmad 1287:1

Abu Kamil narrated to us, Zuhayr—meaning Ibn Mu'awiyah—narrated to us, Abdullah ibn Isa narrated to us, from Musa ibn Abdullah, who said: And he was a truthful man, from a woman of Banu Abd al-Ashhal, who said: I said: "O Messenger of Allah, we have a path to the mosque that is foul-smelling, so what should we do when it rains?" He said: "Is there not a path after it that is better than it?" She said: I said: "Yes." He said: "Then this is for that."
