Hadith 1033:1
Yazid ibn Harun narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Ishaq informed us, from Damrah ibn Sa'id, from his grandmother, from a woman of their women—she had prayed toward the two qiblahs with the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace—she said: I entered upon the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and he said to me: "Apply henna (dye), for one of you might leave the henna until her hand becomes like the hand of a man." She said: So I did not cease applying henna until I met Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, even though she would apply henna while she was eighty years old.
حدثنا يزيد بن هارون، أخبرنا محمد بن إسحاق، عن ضمرة بن سعيد، عن جدته، عن امرأة من نسائهم قال: وقد كانت صلت القبلتين مع النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قالت: دخلت على رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم فقال لي: " اختضبي، تترك إحداكن الخضاب حتى تكون يدها كيد الرجل "، قالت: فما تركت الخضاب حتى لقيت الله عز وجل، وإن كانت لتختضب وإنها لابنة ثمانين
