The Hadith of the woman who is the grandmother of Ibn Ziyad, the mother of his father

Hadith 1199:1

Hassan ibn Musa narrated to us, he said: Rafi‘ ibn Salamah al-Ashja‘i narrated to us, he said: Hashraj ibn Ziyad narrated to me, from his grandmother, the mother of his father, who said: We went out with the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, on the expedition of Khaybar, and I was the sixth of six women. She said: It reached the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, that there were women with him. She said: So he sent for us and called us. She said: We saw anger in his face, and he said: "What brought you out? And by whose command did you go out?" We said: We went out with you to hand out arrows, provide *sawiq* (barley drink) to drink, and we have medicine for the wounded with us, and we spin wool, so we help with it in the way of Allah. He said: "Stand up and return." She said: Then when Allah granted him the victory of Khaybar, he brought out for us shares like the shares of the men. I said to her: "O grandmother, and what was it that he brought out for you?" She said: "Dates."
