Hadith of Ya‘la ibn Umayyah (RA)

Hadith 586:17

Hushaym narrated to us, Mansur and ‘Abd al-Malik narrated to us, from ‘Ata’, from Ya‘la ibn Umayyah, who said: A Bedouin came to the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, wearing a jubbah (outer garment) and upon him were traces of saffron. He said: "O Messenger of Allah, I have entered into ihram while wearing what you see, and the people are mocking me." He (the Prophet) lowered his head for a short while. Then he called him and said: "Take off this jubbah from yourself, wash this saffron from yourself, and do in your ‘umrah what you do in your hajj."
