Hadith 586:19
Isma'il narrated to us, from Ibn Jurayj, who said: 'Ata' informed me, from Safwan ibn Ya'la, from Ya'la ibn Umayyah, who said: I went on a military expedition with the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, the Army of Hardship (Jaysh al-'Usrah), and it was among the most reliable of my deeds in my own estimation. I had a hired worker, and he fought with a man, and one of them bit the other. He (the one who was bitten) pulled his finger away, and he (the biter) knocked out his front tooth. He (the Prophet) said: "Does he leave his hand in your mouth for you to gnaw upon it?" He said: I think he said, "As a stallion gnaws."
