Hadith 586:20
Ibn Numayr narrated to us, 'Abd al-Malik narrated to us, from 'Ata', from Ya'la ibn Umayyah: That he was with 'Umar on a journey, and that he requested 'Umar to show him the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, when the revelation would descend upon him. He said: While the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, was on a journey and there was a covering over him, shielding him from the sun, a man came to him wearing a cloak, and upon it were traces of saffron. He said: "O Messenger of Allah, I have entered into Ihram for 'Umrah, and the people are mocking me, so what should I do?" He said: The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, remained silent and did not answer him. While he was in that state, he (the Prophet) signaled to 'Umar with his hand, so I inserted my head with them under the covering. Suddenly, the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, had his cheeks reddened, and he had a snoring sound for a moment. Then, it was relieved from him and he sat up. He said: "Where is the one who asked about the 'Umrah?" The man stood up to him, and he said: "Remove this cloak of yours from you, and whatever you were doing in your Hajj when you entered into Ihram, do the same in your 'Umrah."
