Hadith 586:4
'Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, Ibn Jurayj narrated to us, he said: Sulayman ibn 'Atiq informed me, from 'Abd Allah ibn Babiyah, from some of the sons of Ya'la ibn Umayyah, from Ya'la ibn Umayyah, he said: I was with 'Umar, and he touched the Corner (the Black Stone). Ya'la said: I was on the side closest to the House. When I reached the western corner that is next to the Black (Stone), and I moved down in front of him to touch it, he said: "What is the matter with you?" I said: "Will you not touch these two?" He said: "Did you not perform Tawaf with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)?" I said: "Yes." He said: "Did you see him touch these two corners?"—meaning the western ones. I said: "No." He said: "Is there not a good example for you in him?" I said: "Yes." He said: "Then move on."
حدثنا عبد الرزاق، حدثنا ابن جريج، قال: أخبرني سليمان بن عتيق، عن عبد الله بن بابيه، عن بعض بني يعلى بن أمية، عن يعلى بن أمية، قال: كنت مع عمر، فاستلم الركن، قال يعلى: وكنت مما يلي البيت، فلما بلغت الركن الغربي الذي يلي الأسود، وحدرت بين يديه لأستلم، فقال: ما شأنك؟ قلت: ألا تستلم هذين، قال " ألم تطف مع رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم؟ " فقلت: بلى، قال: " أرأيته يستلم هذين الركنين؟ " - يعني الغربيين - قلت: لا، قال: " أفليس لك فيه أسوة حسنة؟ "، قلت: بلى، قال: " فانفذ عنك "
