Musnad Ahmad 582:2

Yazid narrated to us, Ibn Abi Dhi'b informed us, from Abdullah ibn al-Sa'ib ibn Yazid, from his father, from his grandfather, that he heard the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, saying: "Let not one of you take the belongings of his companion, neither in jest nor in earnest. And if one of you takes the staff of his brother, let him return it to him."
