Hadith 771:10
Yahya ibn Sa'id narrated to us, from Shu'bah, who said: 'Amr ibn Murrah narrated to me, from Ibn Abi Layla, that Zayd ibn Arqam used to say the takbir four times over our funerals. And he said the takbir five times over a funeral, so they asked him. He said: "The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, used to say it, or the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said it."
حدثنا يحيى بن سعيد، عن شعبة، قال: حدثني عمرو بن مرة، عن ابن أبي ليلى، أن زيد بن أرقم، كان يكبر على جنائزنا أربعا، وأنه كبر على جنازة خمسا، فسألوه؟ فقال: " كان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يكبرها، أو كبرها النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم " . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
