Hadith of Zayd ibn Arqam (RA)

Hadith 771:25

Muhammad ibn Ja‘far narrated to us, ‘Awf narrated to us, from Maymun Abu ‘Abd Allah, from Zayd ibn Arqam, who said: A group of the companions of the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) had doors opening into the mosque. He said: Then one day he said, "Close these doors, except for the door of ‘Ali." He said: The people spoke about that. He said: Then the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) stood up, praised Allah the Exalted and extolled Him, then said: "As for what follows, I was commanded to close these doors, except for the door of ‘Ali, and your speaker said what he said regarding it. And I, by Allah, did not close anything nor did I open it, but I was commanded to do something, so I followed it."

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
