Hadith 771:26
Muhammad ibn Bishr narrated to us, Mis'ar narrated to us, from al-Hajjaj, the freed slave of Banu Tha'labah, from Qutbah ibn Malik, from Ziyad ibn 'Alaqah, who said: Al-Mughirah ibn Shu'bah spoke ill of 'Ali. Zayd ibn Arqam said: "You know that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, used to forbid reviling the dead. So why do you revile 'Ali, when he has died?"
حدثنا محمد بن بشر، حدثنا مسعر، عن الحجاج مولى بني ثعلبة، عن قطبة بن مالك، عم زياد بن علاقة قال: نال المغيرة بن شعبة من علي، فقال زيد بن أرقم: قد علمت " أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم كان ينهى عن سب الموتى "، فلم تسب عليا وقد مات ؟ " . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
