Hadith 771:28
Sulayman ibn Dawud narrated to us, Shu'bah informed us, from Abu 'Abdullah al-Shami, who said: I heard Mu'awiyah delivering a sermon, saying: "O people of al-Sham, the Ansari narrated to me—Shu'bah meant Zayd ibn Arqam—that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: 'A group of my Ummah will continue to be upon the truth, prevailing. And I truly hope that you are them, O people of al-Sham.'"
حدثنا سليمان بن داود، أخبرنا شعبة، عن أبي عبد الله الشامي، قال: سمعت معاوية، يخطب يقول: يا أهل الشام حدثني الأنصاري قال شعبة يعني زيد بن أرقم، أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: " لا تزال طائفة من أمتي على الحق ظاهرين، وإني لأرجو أن تكونوهم يا أهل الشام "
