Hadith 771:54
Waki’ narrated to us, Isra’il narrated to us, and my father, from Abu Ishaq, who said: I asked Zayd ibn Arqam: "How many military expeditions (ghazawat) did the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, undertake?" He said: "Nineteen, and I participated in seventeen expeditions with him, and he preceded me in two expeditions."
حدثنا وكيع، حدثنا إسرائيل، وأبي، عن أبي إسحاق، قال: سألت زيد بن أرقم: كم غزا رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم؟ قال: " تسع عشرة، وغزوت معه سبع عشرة غزوة، وسبقني بغزاتين "
