Hadith 771:62
'Affan narrated to us, Shu'bah narrated to us, from 'Amr ibn Murrah, who said: I heard Ibn Abi Layla say: We said to Zayd ibn Arqam: "Narrate to us." He said: "We have grown old and forgotten, and narrating from the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, is a serious matter."
حدثنا عفان، حدثنا شعبة، عن عمرو بن مرة قال: سمعت ابن أبي ليلى قال: قلنا لزيد بن أرقم: حدثنا، قال: " كبرنا ونسينا، والحديث على رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم شديد "
