Hadith 771:68
Rawh narrated to us, Ibn Jurayj narrated to us, Hasan ibn Muslim informed us, from Abu al-Minhal—and he did not hear it from him—that he heard Zayd ibn Arqam and al-Bara’ ibn ‘Azib saying: We heard the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, saying regarding currency exchange: "If it is hand-to-hand, then there is no harm. But if it is on credit, then it is not permissible."
حدثنا روح، حدثنا ابن جريج، أخبرنا حسن بن مسلم، عن أبي المنهال، ولم يسمعه منه، أنه سمع زيد بن أرقم، والبراء بن عازب، يقولان: سمعنا رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول في الصرف: " إذا كان يدا بيد فلا بأس، وإن كان دينا فلا يصلح "
