Hadith 771:80
Sufyan ibn ‘Uyaynah narrated to us, from Ajlah, from al-Sha‘bi, from ‘Abdullah ibn Abi al-Khalil, from Zayd ibn Arqam, that a group of men had intercourse with a woman during one period of purity. ‘Ali, may Allah be pleased with him, said to two of them: "Do you willingly consent to this?" They said: "No." He then turned to the others and said: "Do you willingly consent to this?" They said: "No." He said: "You are contentious partners. I will cast lots among you; whichever of you is drawn, I will make him pay two-thirds of the blood money (diyah) and assign the child to him." It was mentioned to the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, and he said: "I know nothing other than what ‘Ali, may Allah be pleased with him, said."
حدثنا سفيان بن عيينة، عن أجلح، عن الشعبي، عن عبد الله بن أبي الخليل، عن زيد بن أرقم، أن نفرا وطئوا امرأة في طهر، فقال علي رضي الله تعالى عنه لاثنين: أتطيبان نفسا لذا؟ فقالا: لا. فأقبل على الآخرين، فقال: أتطيبان نفسا لذا؟ فقالا: لا. قال: أنتم شركاء متشاكسون، قال: إني مقرع بينكم، فأيكم قرع أغرمته ثلثي الدية، وألزمته الولد، قال: فذكر ذلك للنبي صلى الله عليه وسلم فقال: " لا أعلم إلا ما قال علي رضي الله عنه "
