Musnad Ahmad 938:2

Surayj narrated to us, Ibn Abi al-Zinad narrated to us, from his father, from Kharijah ibn Zayd, that Zayd ibn Thabit said: "The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, granted a concession regarding the sale of *'Araya* (the sale of fresh dates on the tree for dried dates), that they may be sold by their estimation in measure."
