Musnad Ahmad 938:32

Yahya ibn Ishaq narrated to us, Yahya ibn Ayyub informed us, Yazid ibn Abi Habib narrated to us, that Abd al-Rahman ibn Shamasa informed him: That Zayd ibn Thabit said: While we were with the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, compiling the Quran from parchment scraps, he said: "Glad tidings to Al-Sham." It was said: "And why is that, O Messenger of Allah?" He said: "Because the angels of the Most Merciful spread their wings over it."
