Hadith of Zayd ibn Thabit (RA) from the Prophet (SAW)
Hadith 938:87
Yunus ibn Muhammad narrated to us, Abd al-Rahman ibn Abd Allah ibn Abi al-Zinad narrated to us, from his father, from Kharijah ibn Zayd, who said: Zayd ibn Thabit said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) arrived in Medina while we were trading fruits before their ripeness became apparent. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) heard a dispute, so he said: "What is this?" It was said to him: These people bought the fruits, and they are saying: "We have been afflicted by *al-duman* (rot/blight) and *al-qasham* (shriveling/defects)." The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Do not trade them until their ripeness becomes apparent." Surayj narrated to us and said: "*Al-adman* and *al-qasham*."
