Musnad Ahmad 938:91

Abu al-Mughirah narrated to us, Abu Bakr narrated to us, Damrah ibn Habib ibn Suhayb narrated to us, from Abu al-Darda’, from Zayd ibn Thabit: That the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) taught him a supplication and commanded him to commit his family to it every day. He said: "Say when you reach the morning: 'Labbayka Allahumma labbayk, wa sa’dayk, wal-khayru fi yadayk, wa minka wa bika wa ilayk. Allahumma ma qultu min qawlin, aw nadhartu min nadhrin, aw halaftu min halifin, famashi’atuka bayna yadayhi, ma shi’ta kana, wa ma lam tasha’ lam yakun, wa la hawla wa la quwwata illa bik, innaka ‘ala kulli shay’in qadir. Allahumma wa ma sallaytu min salatin, fa’ala man sallayta, wa ma la’antu min la’natin, fa’ala man la’anta, innaka anta waliyyi fid-dunya wal-akhirah, tawaffani musliman wa alhiqni bis-salihin. As’aluka Allahumma ar-rida ba’dal-qada’, wa bardal-‘ayshi ba’dal-mamat, wa ladhdhata nazarin ila wajhik, wa shawqan ila liqa’ik, min ghayri darra’a mudirratin, wa la fitnatin mudillah. A’udhu bika Allahumma an azlima aw uzlam, aw a’tadiya aw yu’tada ‘alayya, aw aktasiba khati’atan muhbitatan, aw dhanban la yughfar. Allahumma fatiras-samawati wal-ard, ‘alimal-ghaybi wash-shahadah, dhal-jalali wal-ikram, fa-inni a’hadu ilayka fi hadhihil-hayatid-dunya, wa ushhiduka wa kafa bika shahida, anni ashhadu annahu la ilaha illa anta wahdaka la sharika lak, lakal-mulku, wa lakal-hamdu, wa anta ‘ala kulli shay’in qadir. Wa ashhadu anna Muhammadan ‘abduka wa rasuluk, wa ashhadu anna wa’daka haqq, wa liqa’aka haqq, wal-jannata haqq, was-sa’ata atiyatun la rayba fiha, wa anta tab’athu man fil-qubur. Wa ashhadu annaka in takilni ila nafsi, takilni ila day’atin wa ‘awratin wa dhanbin wa khati’ah, wa inni la athiqu illa birahmatik, faghfir li dhanbi kullahu, innahu la yaghfirudh-dhunuba illa ant, wa tub ‘alayya, innaka antat-tawwabur-rahim.'" (Translation of the meaning: "Here I am, O Allah, here I am, and I am ready to obey You, and all good is in Your hands, and from You, and by You, and to You. O Allah, whatever word I have spoken, or vow I have made, or oath I have sworn, Your will is before it; what You willed happened, and what You did not will did not happen, and there is no power and no strength except by You; indeed, You are over all things capable. O Allah, whatever prayer I have prayed, then it is upon whom You have prayed, and whatever curse I have cursed, then it is upon whom You have cursed. Indeed, You are my Protector in this world and the Hereafter; cause me to die a Muslim and join me with the righteous. I ask You, O Allah, for contentment after the decree, and the coolness of life after death, and the pleasure of looking at Your Face, and a longing to meet You, without harmful distress or misleading trial. I seek refuge in You, O Allah, that I should wrong or be wronged, or transgress or be transgressed against, or commit a sin that nullifies [deeds], or a sin that is not forgiven. O Allah, Creator of the heavens and the earth, Knower of the unseen and the seen, Possessor of Majesty and Honor, I make a covenant with You in this worldly life, and I call You to witness—and You are sufficient as a Witness—that I bear witness that there is no god but You, alone, with no partner for You; to You belongs the dominion, and to You belongs the praise, and You are over all things capable. And I bear witness that Muhammad is Your servant and Your Messenger, and I bear witness that Your promise is true, and meeting You is true, and Paradise is true, and the Hour is coming, there is no doubt in it, and You will resurrect those in the graves. And I bear witness that if You leave me to myself, You leave me to ruin, weakness, sin, and error, and I do not trust except in Your mercy, so forgive me all my sins, for indeed, none forgives sins except You, and accept my repentance; indeed, You are the Accepting of Repentance, the Merciful.")
