Ibrahim ibn Abi al-Abbas narrated to us, Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi al-Zinad narrated to us, from Sharhabil ibn Sa’d, who said: Zayd ibn Thabit narrated to me at al-Aswaf, while I had a bird with me that I had hunted. He said: So he slapped the back of my neck, released it from my hand, and said: "Do you not know, O you who transgress against yourself, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, declared sacred what is between its two lava fields?"
