Musnad Ahmad 1018:109

Muhammad ibn Bakr narrated to us, Ibn Jurayj narrated to us, Yusuf ibn al-Hakam ibn Abi Sufyan informed me that Hafs ibn Umar ibn Abd al-Rahman ibn Awf and Amr ibn Hayyah informed him, from Umar ibn Abd al-Rahman ibn Awf, from a man of the Ansar from the companions of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, that a man from the Ansar came to the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and he mentioned it. He said: "I have a protector here among the Quraysh, coming and going." He said: "There is a separation here," and he mentioned its meaning.
