Musnad Ahmad 1018:13

Waki’ narrated to us, Sulayman ibn al-Mughirah narrated to us, from Humayd ibn Hilal, from Abu Qatadah and Abu al-Dahma’, they said: We came upon a man from the people of the desert and said: "Did you hear anything from the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace?" He said: "Yes, I heard him say: 'Indeed, you will not leave anything for the sake of Allah, but Allah will replace it for you with that which is better for you than it.'"
