Musnad Ahmad 1018:24

Waki’ narrated to us, al-A’mash narrated to us, from Abu Salih Dhakwan, from some of the companions of the Prophet, peace be upon him, who said: A man came to the Prophet, peace be upon him, and said: "O Messenger of Allah, so-and-so has a date palm tree in my garden, so command him to sell it to me, or to gift it to me." He said: The man refused. So the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, said: "Do it, and you shall have a date palm tree in Paradise for it." He refused. So the Prophet, peace be upon him, said: "This is the stingiest of people."
