Musnad Ahmad 1018:30

Yazid narrated to us, Yahya informed us, that Bashir ibn Yasar informed him, from a man among the companions of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, who said: "The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, forbade the selling of fresh dates for dried dates, but he granted a concession for *al-ariyya*." He said: "And *al-ariyya* is the palm tree, or the two palm trees, which a man buys for their estimated value in dried dates, and he takes possession of them; so he granted a concession for that."
