Musnad Ahmad 1018:40

Muhammad ibn Ja‘far narrated to us, Shu‘bah narrated to us, Salam narrated to me, he said: I heard ‘Abdullah ibn Abi al-Hudhayl say: A companion of mine narrated to me that the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said: "Woe to gold and silver." He said: My companion narrated to me that he went with ‘Umar ibn al-Khattab and said: "O Messenger of Allah, what is your saying 'Woe to gold and silver'?" The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said: "[It is for] a remembering tongue, a grateful heart, and a wife who helps with the Hereafter."
