Musnad Ahmad 1018:59

Muhammad ibn Ja‘far narrated to us, Shu‘bah narrated to us, ‘Ubayd al-Maktab informed me, he said: I heard Abu ‘Amr al-Shaybani narrating from a man among the companions of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, who said: The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, was asked: "Which deed is best?" Shu‘bah said: Or he said, "The best of deeds is prayer at its time, honoring the parents, and Jihad."
