Musnad Ahmad 1018:7

Asbat narrated to us, from Hisham ibn Sa’d, from Zayd ibn Aslam, from Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Baylamani, from some of the companions of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, who said: I heard the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, saying: "Whoever repents to God Almighty one day before he dies, God will accept it from him." He said: Then another man from the companions of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, narrated this to him and said: "Did you hear this from him?" He said: "I said: Yes." He said: "Then I bear witness that I heard the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, saying: 'Whoever repents to God half a day before he dies, God will accept it from him.'" He said: Then he narrated it to another man from the companions of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, who said: "Did you hear this?" He said: "Yes." He said: "Then I bear witness that I heard the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, saying: 'Whoever repents to God at the time of the forenoon (duha) before he dies, God will accept it from him.'" He said: Then he narrated it to another man from the companions of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, who said: "Did you hear this from him?" He said: "Yes." He said: "Then I bear witness that I heard the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, saying: 'Whoever repents before his soul reaches his throat (at the time of death), God will accept it from him.'"
