Musnad Ahmad 1018:90

Muhammad ibn Ja‘far narrated to us, Shu‘bah narrated to us, from al-Ash‘ath ibn Sulaym, who said: I heard a man during the governorship of Ibn al-Zubayr, who said: I heard a man in the market of ‘Ukaz saying: "O people, say 'There is no god but Allah' and you will succeed." And a man was following him saying: "Indeed, this man wants to turn you away from your gods." Then it was the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and Abu Jahl.
