Musnad Ahmad 1018:99

Abu Qatan narrated to us, Yunus narrated to us, from Jurayy al-Nahdi, who said: I met an old man from Banu Sulaym at al-Kunasa, and he narrated to me that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) counted five [things] on his hand, or on my hand. He said: "Tasbih (saying SubhanAllah) is half of the Balance, and Al-Hamdulillah (praise be to Allah) fills it, and Takbir (saying Allahu Akbar) fills what is between the heaven and the earth, and fasting is half of patience, and purification is half of faith."
