Musnad Ahmad 33:1003

Rawh narrated to us, Ibn Jurayj narrated to us, Abu al-Zubayr informed me that he heard Jabir ibn Abdullah—and he did not attribute it to the Prophet (marfu’): "I am your forerunner before you. If you do not find me, then I am at the Hawd (the Cistern). The Hawd is the distance between Ayla and Makkah. Men and women will come, but they will not taste anything from it." It is mawquf (a statement of the Companion) and he did not attribute it to the Prophet.
