Musnad Ahmad 33:1019

Hassan narrated to us, Zuhayr ibn Mu'awiyah Abu Khaythama narrated to us, Abu al-Zubayr narrated to us, from Jabir, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Retain your wealth for yourselves, and do not divide it, for whoever is granted a life-long gift (*umra*), it belongs to the one to whom it was granted, both in life and in death, and to his descendants."
