Musnad Ahmad 33:1028

Hassan narrated to us, Zuhair narrated to us, from Abu al-Zubayr, from Jabir, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Close the doors, tie the waterskins, cover the vessel, and extinguish the lamps; for indeed, Satan does not open a closed door, nor does he untie a knot, nor does he uncover a vessel. For indeed, the little corruptor (the mouse) sets the house on fire upon its inhabitants."
