Musnad Ahmad 33:1050

Ishaq ibn Isa narrated to us, Hammad narrated to us, from Kathir ibn Shanzir, from Ata, from Jabir ibn Abdullah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Cover the vessels, tie the waterskins, bolt the doors, and extinguish the lamps when going to sleep, for the little corruptor (the mouse) might drag the wick and burn the house. And keep your children indoors when evening comes, for the jinn have a spreading and a snatching."
