Musnad Ahmad 33:1057

'Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, Sufyan informed us, from al-A'mash and Mansur, from Salim ibn Abi al-Ja'd, from Jabir ibn 'Abd Allah, who said: A man came to the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and said: "I have a slave girl, and I practice *'azl* (coitus interruptus) with her." He said to him: "Whatever is decreed will be." He did not wait long before she became pregnant. He came to the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and said: "O Prophet of Allah, did you not see that she has become pregnant?" The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: "Whatever Allah has decreed for a soul to come forth, it will surely come to be."
