Surayj narrated to us, Hammad—meaning Ibn Zayd—narrated to us, from al-Hajjaj ibn Artah, from Ata, from Jabir ibn Abdullah, who said: "We arrived with the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and we performed Tawaf around the House, and between al-Safa and al-Marwah. Then, when the Day of Sacrifice (Yawm al-Nahr) came, we did not approach al-Safa and al-Marwah."
