Hadith 33:1089
'Affan narrated to us, Hammad narrated to us, from 'Ammar ibn Abi 'Ammar, from Jabir ibn 'Abdullah, who said: My father was killed on the day of Uhud, and he left behind two gardens, and a Jew had a claim of dates against him, and the Jew's dates consumed what was in the two gardens. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said to him: "Would you be willing to take some this year, and delay some until next year?" But he refused. So the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "When the harvest time arrives, inform me." He said: So I informed him, and the Prophet (ﷺ) came, along with Abu Bakr and 'Umar. We began to harvest, and it was being measured for him from the bottom of the palm trees, while the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was supplicating for blessing, until we had fulfilled his entire right from the smaller of the two gardens—according to what 'Ammar reckons. Then we brought them fresh dates and water, and they ate and drank. Then he said: "This is from the bliss (na'im) that you will be asked about."
