Musnad Ahmad 33:1092

Aswad ibn Amir narrated to us, Abu Bakr narrated to us, from Ajlah, from Abu al-Zubayr, from Jabir, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to Aisha: "Did you escort the young woman to her house?" She said: "Yes." He said: "Why did you not send with them someone who would sing to them, saying: 'We have come to you, we have come to you, so greet us, we will greet you,' for the Ansar are a people who have a fondness for poetry."
