Musnad Ahmad 33:1094

Ishaq ibn Yusuf narrated to us, Abd al-Malik narrated to us, from Ata, from Jabir ibn Abdullah, from the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, that he said: "Whoever possesses land, let him cultivate it. If he is unable to cultivate it and is incapable of doing so, then let him grant it to his Muslim brother, and let him not lease it out."
