Hassan and Musa ibn Dawud narrated to us, they said: Ibn Lahi'ah narrated to us, Abu al-Zubayr narrated to us, he said: I asked Jabir about *ruqyah* (incantation/healing prayer), and he said: My maternal uncle, one of the Ansar, informed me that he said: "O Messenger of Allah, shall I perform *ruqyah* for a scorpion sting?" The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "Whoever among you is able to benefit his brother with something, let him do so."
