Musnad Ahmad 33:1130

Sulayman ibn Dawud al-Hashimi narrated to us, Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi al-Zinad narrated to us, from Musa ibn Uqbah, from Abu al-Zubayr, from Jabir, who said: A woman who had stolen was brought to the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him. She sought refuge with the stepson of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him. The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "By Allah, if it were Fatimah, I would have cut off her hand." So he cut it off. Ibn Abi al-Zinad said: The stepson of the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, was Salamah ibn Abi Salamah or Umar ibn Abi Salamah, and she sought refuge with one of them.
