'Affan narrated to us, Sulaym ibn Hayyan narrated to us, Sa'id ibn Mina narrated to us, from Jabir ibn 'Abdullah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Whoever has surplus land or water, let him cultivate it or let his brother cultivate it, and do not rent it out." I asked Sa'id: "What is 'do not rent it out'? Is it the lease?" He said: "Yes."
