Hadith 33:1181
'Ali ibn Bahr narrated to us, Hatim ibn Isma'il narrated to us, reading to us from his book, from 'Abd al-Rahman ibn 'Ata', from 'Abd al-Malik ibn Jabir, from Jabir ibn 'Abd Allah, who said: I was sitting with the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, when he tore his shirt from its collar until he took it off from his feet. The people looked at the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, and he said: "I was commanded regarding my sacrificial animals that I sent, that they be garlanded today and marked today at such-and-such water. I had put on a shirt and forgotten, and I did not want to take my shirt off over my head." He had sent his sacrificial animals from Medina, and he remained in Medina.
