Hadith 33:134
Waki’ narrated to us, from Sufyan, from ‘Abdullah ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Aqil, from Jabir, who said: "The Dhuhr (noon prayer) is as its name implies. The ‘Asr (afternoon prayer) is white and bright. The Maghrib (sunset prayer) is as its name implies; we used to pray the Maghrib with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), then we would return to our dwellings—and they were at a distance of a mile—and we could see where the arrows landed. He used to hasten the ‘Isha’ (night prayer) and sometimes delay it. The Fajr (dawn prayer) is as its name implies, and he used to perform it in the darkness of the early dawn."
