Musnad Ahmad 33:136

Hashim narrated to us, Sayyar informed us, from al-Sha'bi, from Jabir, who said: We were with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) on a journey. When we returned and were about to enter [the city], he said: "Wait, so that we may enter at night—meaning at the time of Isha—so that the disheveled woman may comb her hair, and the woman whose husband is absent may shave her pubic hair."
