Musnad Ahmad 33:155

Ishaq ibn Yusuf narrated to us, Abd al-Malik narrated to us, from Abu al-Zubayr, from Jabir, who said: "The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, would have *nabidh* (a drink made by soaking dates or raisins in water) prepared for him in a waterskin. If he did not have a waterskin, it would be prepared for him in a stone basin made of soapstone." He said: "And the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, forbade the *duba'* (gourd), the *naqir* (hollowed-out log), the *jarr* (earthenware jar), and the *muzaffat* (pitch-coated vessel)."
