Hadith 33:161

Isma'il narrated to us, Ayyub informed us, from Abu al-Zubayr, from Jabir, that a man from the Ansar, who was called Abu Madhkur, emancipated a slave of his who was called Ya'qub, [to be free] after his death, and he had no other wealth besides him. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, summoned him and said: "Who will buy him from me? Who will buy him from me?" Nu'aym ibn 'Abd Allah al-Nahham bought him for eight hundred dirhams, and he handed them over to him. He [the Prophet] said: "If one of you is poor, let him begin with himself. If there is any surplus, then [let him spend it] on his dependents. If there is any surplus, then on his relatives—or he said: on his kin—and if there is any surplus, then here and here."
