Musnad Ahmad 33:166

'Abd al-Wahhab al-Thaqafi narrated to us, from Ja'far, from his father, from Jabir, "That the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) judged by the oath along with the witness." Ja'far said: My father said: "And 'Ali judged by it in Iraq." Abu 'Abd al-Rahman said: "My father had struck through this hadith. He said: 'No one agreed with al-Thaqafi regarding Jabir.' I did not cease [urging] him until he read it to me, and he wrote upon it 'Sahih' (authentic)."
