Musnad Ahmad 33:194

Sufyan narrated to us, Amr said: I heard Jabir saying: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to me: "Have you married?" I said: "Yes." He said: "A virgin or a previously married woman?" I said: "A previously married woman." He said: "Why not a virgin, so that you might play with her and she might play with you?" I said: "O Messenger of Allah, my father was killed on the day of Uhud, and he left behind nine daughters, so I disliked bringing to them a foolish girl like them. Rather, [I married] a woman who would comb their hair and take care of them." He said: "You have done well."
